Shabbat

Friday Night

Our Shabbat evening service features the rituals, melodies and warmth that our congregants have long cherished, and provides worshippers with an intimate and highly participatory prayer experience.  The service includes a reading from the weekly Torah portion, and a sermon or presentation by our Rabbi, Cantor or a special guest.  Please note that while this service is open to all, it is not designed for very young children.  Many congregants value this opportunity to pray in the early evening making it possible for them to enjoy a family Shabbat dinner at home or with friends.

Saturday Morning Torah Study and Minyan

Join members of Temple Beth Hillell every Shabbat morning at 9:00 AM for informal worship and a discussion of the Torah portion for that week. No prior knowledge is needed. These sessions, which are always thought provoking and lively, are open to all.

Saturday Morning Service

A more formal service is held on those mornings when there is a Bar or Bat Mitzvah – which occurs most Shabbat mornings during the year (consult the current Newsletter).  This service is, of course, open to all.
